Customer Complaints

State Bank of India UK has laid down procedures for fair handling of customer complaints. In the first instance, to ensure your complaint is seen by the person with the best knowledge to help resolve it, you can approach your Branch Manager, who will ensure that your needs are attended to as soon as possible.

In case of difficulty with the branch, or if you feel you have received an unsatisfactory reply in respect of a complaint lodged with the Branch, you can then contact the Complaints Department

If you'd prefer to talk to us directly, telephone our free phone number 0800 532 532 (UK only), Monday to Friday any time between 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. to discuss the matter with our Customer Services team.

State Bank of India aims to deal with your complaint straight away. However, if we can't, we will keep you informed of the reasons for the delay, keeping you updated as to the progress of your complaint and the action we propose to take to address your concerns.

The Financial Ombudsman Service

If you are still not satisfied after following the above procedure, or if eight weeks have passed since you first let us know about your concerns, you can ask The Financial Ombudsman Service to independently review the complaint, free of charge. If you do not take up your problem with us first, you will not be entitled to complain to the Ombudsman.
